Finished Dazzle

The finished Dazzle prints, photos by Nick Smith hence the fancy title bits. The glow in the dark version very nicely demonstrated above.

Dazzle Royal

Master-printa Mr Mark puts the final black on Nick Smith's new print 'Dazzle Royal'. This one comes in a glow in the dark version and also in prawn and potato colourways..will post pics of the finished thing before Nick picks them up. The paper is B2 size (100x70cm) and has a solid colour background making it one of the most difficult prints I have done.

Archangel

A laavley A1 digital print done for Lowercase Industries. The original was made by Michael Latimer with stencils and spraypaint, a man who is deft with a scalpel and perhaps has a head full of comics!

Long Live Love Life

Six colour 50x70cm screenprint from Ryan Callanan (Ryca) ties in with a commission from BT I believe. Ryan is a master screenprinter himself but was too busy to do these. Was a nice compliment that he gave these to me to print. Pearescent solvent based inks give the whole print a wonderful shine, very classy!

Fashion, Moi?

Sonya Xie, a student at the London College of Fashion inspects a sample of a screenprint on Neoprene. this is the stuff that wetsuits are made of and is also used for laptop sleeves and things as it is very stretchy. I got some special ink and it worked nicely.

This is one of the final sections of Sonya's design for her dress. I will post pics of the finished thing when she has made it.

Busy in the Cold

Things have got properly moving in the New Year now, many more screens to prepare for the Hit & Run crew and another print edition for Nick Smith to do.  Doing some of my own work too, will post pics in a bit but not just yet as it is in very early stages.

The messy bit of doing the Hit & Run screens, they come to me covered in Plastisol ink which is weird in that it doesn't dry unless it is heat cured, so it can remain wet and nasty for weeks..

A beautifully hand crafted knob for one of the x y adujstment screws on the bed, you just don't see this level of workmanship very often these days..

And here is the refurbished screen bed all shiny and finished, works a treat too.

Mixing up a delicious pink to Nick's specifications, necessary cup of tea for this sort of work. Good fun actually, nice when you can get it pretty damn spot on.
